Course Reflection

This was a very unique class. I never imagined it was going to be this way when I took it, I had other English classes before…come to mention it, this exact one, but we didn’t do the whole computer part—it was old school English 105. When I heard that I didn’t need a book, I was like shhh, this sounds like a good deal. Nope. I was wrong. Lol. There were times when I thought that I was better off taking the class that made you buy the book. I hated blogging and taking part in the discussion forums. Not because I think its bad, but I’m just not that kind of person that’s accustomed to doing those kind of things.
At times I felt that my composition and grammar suffered more so because I was pre occupied trying to figure out the technical aspect of this class, i.e. Dream Weaver and such. I think that you have to take a separate class just for Dream Weaver alone in order to understand it. Some of the projects were difficult for me to understand, at first, but I learned to ask a lot of questions. Also, if I knew the topic we chose for our first project was going to be the root for all the projects, I would have chosen something different.
All in all, even though, it may have sounded like I was complaining a little bit, I’m glad I took this class. It was hard, time consuming, frustrating, and different, but it tapped into a part of my brain that A. I haven’t used in awhile or B. I never used. I learned how to do some new things and I can never take for granted the knowledge that I obtained.
I guess I get it, our world is changing. We are developing into a technology based community all over the world, so we need to take classes like these to be up to date. It’s no longer just picking up a newspaper or magazine and getting information. Nowadays we are looking up web articles on the internet for info. People are out blogging their opinions and knowledge. I guess this world is moving at rapid pace toward the future so it’s not so bad we had this class to help us merge into that traffic.

P.S. Has anyone ever felt like Doogie Howser when they were writing these things? I swear I can hear that music playing in the back of my mind as I type. lol

P.S.S. My Bday bash is at the registry in crown point on thursday...tomorrow. So, if you 21 or over com thru. But I think I'm the only bloody old fool in this class :)
